Hi, my name is Linda Copley, and I live in Charleston, WV. I joined Copley Garage in 1975, Peter C. Copley and I were married in 1978. I have been associated with the West Virginia Towing and Recovery Association since my husband and I along with a few other towing companies founded the association in 1981. I served as Secretary/Treasurer from 1981 until approximately 2006, then served as Secretary for a brief time thereafter. I am currently not an officer but intend to run in the upcoming election. Pete and I have seen the association through its ups and downs. When membership is at its height the possibilities are endless. We found out that by becoming a group our voice would have more leverage when negotiating with the Legislature, the PSC, or any other law-making, regulation-setting body instead of trying to accomplish tasks individually.

We run six light duty trucks, three heavy duty trucks, two service trucks, a tractor and two trailers. Most of our income is from light duty towing being located within the heart of the city limits. We have fourteen male and female employees and run three shifts.
I now run Copley Garage along with my son Craig, and my daughter Sarah, who also share interest in the business. Most of you knew my late husband Pete, who lost his battle with cancer in August of 2009. He was President for many years until he decided to step down and let someone else with a newer, younger, and fresher approach for the association lead the way. Both of us were very active and hoped to continue to watch the association grow and be heard from in years to come. I look forward to meeting everyone in future meetings, and wish only the best for the WVTRA.
